Bio
Leanne Wilkins / Guitar, KEYS, Vocals
Since she began performing in 1998, Leanne has captured diverse audiences with her music. She’s refined her ear for haunting melodies and catchy hooks, and it shows in her devotion to her craft as a songwriter. Through her lyrics, she explores topics that are both personal and relatable, expressing her perspectives on relationships, personal growth, and the search for truth.
Leanne discovered her passion for music at the age of four, and she devoted her childhood to studying piano. When she pivoted to playing guitar at age 16, she fell in love with Americana music. Through evolving influences and collaborations with other musicians, her style has been infused with elements of rock, blues and R&B.
Her first studio album Waterwheel, recorded at the Track Shack in Seattle, Washington, was released in May 2008. The album includes 12 songs she wrote over the span of a decade, revisiting wistful pop songs written in her late teens (Surrender, Into Oblivion), and concluding with her later songwriting explorations in Americana and roots rock (Earth Meets Sky, Why Didn’t I).
The Weathered, formed in 2013, includes current lead guitarist Derek Pulvino. The band has performed in venues throughout the greater Seattle area (i.e. Tractor Tavern, High Dive), and festivals including Northwest Folklife. Their latest EP, Ordinary Grey (2016), is available on all major streaming services.
The current incarnation of The Weathered was formed in early 2023 with Clint Hoyler (bass) and Ben Loshin (drums). The band is currently working on a new record and will be headed into the studio in the fall.

Derek Pulvino / Lead Guitar
With guitar work described by Seattle Sound Magazine as both moody and twangy, Derek Pulvino combines a certain melodic and atmospheric sensibility with a love for locked in, driving rhythms. Derek has honed this style in the studio and on stage alike, recording in studios, bedrooms, and basements across Seattle. In what’s now the way back, Derek shared billings with artists as diverse as Star Anna and the Laughing Dogs, North Twin, and Massy Ferguson, to Pickwick and The Head and the Heart. This whole adventure was set off when Derek got his first guitar in college, and well, it’s continued ever since. In his off hours, Derek is an aspiring DIY homeowner whose projects are defined by spending at least as much time reading and thinking about how to complete a project, as he does actually completing the project.

Clint Hoyler / Bass
Clint Hoyler was raised in Burleson, TX where at age thirteen he began playing bass because his friends wanted to start a band and needed a bass player. The four strings became pathways that Clint followed from Burleson to Ft. Worth, then to Dallas and eventually Seattle. All along the way, the music never stopped. Clint has played and recorded with dozens of bands and artists, with music styles ranging from country to blues, and experimental/improv to rock-n-roll. In his spare time, he stares at the air.

Ben Loshin / Drums
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Ben Loshin fell in love with the rock and roll of the early 90s. Despite an initial career as an engineer in Denver, he couldn't ignore his addiction to music, so he moved to Los Angeles to pursue it. As a touring drummer, Ben performed on stages around the world with British musician, SOHN; toured Australia and New Zealand with Aria award winning pop artist, Conrad Sewell; and drummed for The Ceremonies, a newly signed post-punk influenced band. Ben has also had multi-year stints drumming for 90s roots rock veterans, The Samples and Freddy Jones Band. Building his own DIY project studios, Ben became well-versed in the need for effective acoustic design, leading to a parallel career in architectural acoustics consulting that brought him back to Seattle in 2019.
